State Botanical garden

The State Botanical Garden spreads over an area of 75 ha. It is situated in the sylvan settings of the moist deciduous forest of the sprawling green Nandankanan sanctuary hemmed between two wetlands. The Botanical Garden was established in the year 1963 and was under the management of Horticulture Department.

JAYADEV BATIKA named after 12th century saint poet Jayadev is a jungle away from jungle having more than 300 native and exotic species with medicinal herbs, shrubs, climbers, grass & bamboos spread over an area of 39 Hectares, located at 20º 14” North Latitude and 85º 50” East Longitude adjoining to the foothills and forming a common western boundary of Khandagiri.
